Calliope Annual Appeal
Dear Calliope Patron:
The 2017 Performance Season has been another exciting one for Calliope. Highlights have included productions of “Greater Tuna,” “Side By Side By Sondheim,” “Once on This Island,” “Honk,” “First Things First,” and a production of “The Lion King, Jr.” by students in our summer pre-teen program. And we are looking forward to our upcoming production of “A Taffeta Christmas” that runs from Nov. 30 - Dec. 10.
Our continuing success for the past 36 years has been a direct result of the ongoing support that we have received from our loyal patrons and supporters.
As occurs with other non-profit theatres, the income from tickets covers less than 75% of our annual expenses, and we must rely on donations and other sources of funds in order to meet our operational budget and to pay for improvements to our facility.
This annual end-of-the-year fundraising appeal letter is our major vehicle for supplementing operational expenses, as well as covering needed improvements. In the recent past, Calliope’s annual campaigns have helped pay for parking lot repairs, construction of a costume workroom, new carpeting and seating, replacement of air conditioning and heating equipment, and a new dance floor in our rehearsal space.
Our specific fund-raising target for this year is to upgrade the lighting and projection equipment in the theatre in order to enhance and expand the kinds of productions we can stage in our somewhat limited performance space.
We would greatly appreciate it if you would include Calliope in your end-of-the-year charitable giving. Remember: donations made to Calliope Productions are tax-deductible and qualify for Matching Gifts Programs from area employers.
Below please either download and print the PDF letter and form, and send in the form with your contribution. Or make your donation securely via the PayPal link below.
All of us at Calliope thank you for your support and wish you a wonderful holiday season and a prosperous new year!
President, Calliope Productions
