Dear Calliope Patron:
Calliope Productions is on the way to finishing our 37th Performance Season with record-breaking audience attendance - a 20% increase over last year!
Highlights of this season have included Our Town, Titanic, Once Upon a Mattress, Recipe for Murder, and our latest production, Mary Poppins, as well as our highly successful Pre-Teen Workshop productions of Pirates Past Noon, Madagascar, and The Knight at Dawn. This year has also seen the creation of a Teen Drama Troupe to further our outreach to area students by providing them with leadership opportunities and more theatre arts training and experiences.
Calliope’s continuing growth has been a direct result of the on-going support that we have received from our loyal patrons and supporters, like you.
As is the case with other non-profit theatres, income from ticket sales does not cover our annual expenses, and we must rely on donations and other sources of revenue in order to meet our operational budget and fund improvements to our facility and property.
This annual end-of-the-year fundraising appeal is our major vehicle for covering such expenses. Over the past several years, Calliope’s fund-raising campaigns have helped pay for a projection system, new audience seating, upgraded heating and air conditioning equipment, a costume workroom, and a new dance floor in our rehearsal space. The specific target for this year’s fund-raising campaign is to pay for repairs and improvements to Calliope’s parking lot
