Humor and psychological warfare crackle over a card game between two quick-witted residents of a retirement home in The Gin Game, a Pulitzer Prize-winning play by D.L. Coburn.
Although neither card player is quite ready to admit his or her weaknesses -- or secrets -- their game of gin becomes a metaphor for life as each one wages an emotional battle against aging.
Calliope Productions is proud to present an encore engagement of this play in collaboration with Pilgrim Soul Productions and starring David Clark and Bonnie Stockdale under the direction of Matt Carr.
When it was previously staged in 2009, Paul Kolas, of the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, gave The Gin Game four stars, calling it a "gem" of a production and praising Bonnie Stockdale and David Clark for their "astonishing authenticity."
