Calliope announces auditions for Absolutely Dead, a murder mystery by Michael Walker.

It’s the rocky coast of Maine and there’s a Nor’easter blowing outside. The causeway’s flooded, the phones are down, and there is no cell phone coverage. It's clearly a good night for a roaring fire and a dinner party with a boisterous, tipsy actress, and a great night for a murder – or two. Absolutely Dead is a classic murder mystery in the spirit of those written by Agatha Christie.

    All rehearsals and performances will be at Calliope Theatre, 150 Main Street, Boylston, MA

  • 7:30 pm performances on Thu., Fri., Sat. (Thursday first weekend only)
  • 2:00 pm matinee performances on Sundays

    Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.

    The Characters

    Jack Morgan: (50's - 60's), a business owner who is about to retire.

    Ruth Morgan: (50's - 60's), his wife.

    Jon Morgan: (late 20's), their son.

    Colin Ashcroft: (50's), the incoming company president.

    Susan Ashcroft: (40's), Colin's vivacious wife, an actress.

    Ben Martin: (50's - 60's), Jack's former business partner.

    Alice Martin: (mid 20's) Ben's daughter.

    Nate: (40's - 50's), the local sheriff.
